We use modern, scalable technology to reduce cost, increase efficiencies and ensure safety through the following:
- Both our exchange and registry technology were designed to significantly reduce regulatory “red-tape’’ but maintain and even enhance the regulatory outcome
- Using cloud-hosted exchange technology
- Having various new portals to improve the dissemination of information, real-time shareholder register updates to issuers and marketing of issuer shares
INFRASTRUCTURE
Our exchange infrastructure is unique in South Africa. It has an electronic central independent register of beneficial ownership which is housed in the CTSE Registry. This allows for:
- The removal of minimum fees when trading
- Real-time market information to retail shareholders
- Real-time market surveillance
- Improved restricted share trading liquidity, market trust and integrity
